A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, two unroofed structures, which may be kilns, and one enclosure and a head-dyke are depicted on the OS 1st edition 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1882, sheet ccxxxi). The head-dyke is shared to the W with that of the the township of Lower Genastle (NR24NE 14) and to the E with that of a farmstead (NR24NE 16).

Two unroofed buildings, three conjoined enclosures, a disused kiln, which lies at the same location as one of the structures shown on the 1st edition, and the head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1981).
