Watching Brief (July 2018 - August 2018)

NH 66270 69895 (centred) A watching brief was undertaken in July & August 2018 for development of a housing project further to work undertaken nearby in 2015. Work revealed a number of pits and a group of features to include post–holes and a possible hearth. C14 dates indicated a group of features to date to the Iron Age, two other pits were dated to the Bronze Age. The site lies near a Bronze Age field system (Canmore ID: 293468).
