Activities

Desk Based Assessment (4 May 2021)

Vertical aerial photographs show that nothing is now visible in arable ground of a small fermtoun or township depicted on James Stobie’s 1783 map of 'The counties of Perth and Clackmannan' (NLS: EMS.b.2.30). By the time the 1st edition of the OS 25-inch map (Perthshire 1866, Sheet LXXXVI.9) was published only two roofed buildings remained and by then it was known as ‘Old Lethendy’. The buildings were still roofed at the beginning of the 20th century (1901, Sheet LXXXVI.9).
