The site of Largie Castle is situated 300 yards south of 'The Law' tumulus.

D Christison 1899

No trace of Largie Castle but OS siting verified by farmer who has unearthed several dressed stones hereabouts. A triangular block, with a shield and the date 1611 carved on it, said to have come from the castle, is built into the NW gable of a farm building at NO 8355 7599.
