The Moray Stane is set due E and W; its longest side is 4ft 3ins in length, the opposite side 3ft 4ins and the two ends 2ft 6ins and 1ft 4 1/2ins respectively. It is 4ft 10ins high on the N side. Many stones are embedded around its base, the two largest standing about 1ft above ground.

This standing stone is as described and illustrated. The name 'Moray Stane' is not known locally, although the stone stands on Murraystone Hill.

The Moray Stane, Leys of Barras NO 820 778 NO87NW 7
This standing stone is situated to the S of the summit of Murraystone Hill and 400m WNW of Leys of Barras farmhouse. It measures 1.3m by 0.45m at the base and 1.7m in height.
