Archaeological mitigation works were undertaken by CFA Archaeology Ltd (CFA) on the excavation of selected borehole starter pits and test-pits during the advanced ground investigation, for the A9 Dualling. The section monitored was between Tay Crossing and Killiecrankie, Perth and Kinross. The employer's consultant requested that one test-pit was monitored. An additional six borehole starter pits were monitored whilst the consultant's recommendations for monitoring were being formulated.
