Note (17 October 2018)
Nothing can now be seen close to the S corner of an arable field of a World War Two searchlight emplacement which is visible on an RAF air photograph (CPE/Scot/UK/256 Part I/5050) taken on 11 August 1947 and also noted in a document held by The National Archives at Kew (WO 166/7369). It was one of about 150 searchlight batteries that were constructed to protect the industries in the centre of Glasgow and along the banks of the River Clyde from aerial attack by the Luftwaffe during WWII.
