Evidence for discovery: found in the churchyard in the nineteenth century.

Description

This was a long and extremely worn rectangular slab with traces of carving over the whole surface, suggesting that this was an early medieval slab originally. The initials M H can be made out, which indicate later re-use of the stone.

Date: early medieval and later.
