Place of discovery: NS c 5537 6588
Present location: in the churchyard.
Evidence for discovery: found in the churchyard in the nineteenth century, re-used as a gravestone, and reburied. Rediscovered during excavations in 2019.
Present condition: defaced and worn.
Description
The early carving was almost entirely defaced, apart from some traces of interlace and a plain border. The slab was incised with the initials A Y over the date 1724.
Date: tenth or eleventh century.
