Present location: in the nave of Govan Old Parish Church.
Evidence for discovery: found re-used in the churchyard in the nineteenth century.
Present condition: worn and the base of the slab is missing.
Description
This gravestone has a rounded top and a plain border enclosing a cross outlined by a roll moulding, with circular armpits, the side arms of which extend to the outer border. Both the cross and its background are filled with median-incised interlace, except for a secondary panel cut at the base of the shaft to take the incised initials W Z and below I P, upside down in relation to the cross. The base of the slab was broken after this panel was cut.
Date: tenth or eleventh century.
