Present location: in the nave of Govan Old Parish Church.
Evidence for discovery: found re-used in the churchyard in the nineteenth century.
Present condition: very worn and broken into two fragments.
Description
This is a long rectangular slab with rounded corners. Within a plain border there is a plain outline cross with squared armpits, the side-arms of which extend to merge with the border. The cross is entirely surrounded by interlace with median-incised cords. Across the side-arms and cross centre are deeply incised the initials M W H.
Date: tenth or eleventh century.
