Present location: in the nave of Govan Old Parish Church.
Evidence for discovery: found in the churchyard in the early nineteenth century, re-used as an eighteenth-century gravestone with an inscription around the top of the slab, reading BELLIY HOUSTONS.
Present condition: the middle section is extremely worn.
Description
This slightly tapering slab has a rounded top and an incised line creating a plain flatband order. On the upper part of the slab is a cross of ECMS shape 101A, filled with three-cord plait with a median line, and interlace with a median cord fills the background to the cross. At the base of the slab is a panel of triangular interlaced work.
Date: late ninth to eleventh century.
