Activities

Field Visit (26 September 2016)

Documentation within the Fort Record Book (National Archives: WO78/4396) indicates that four buildings stood in the E corner of the battery compound, between the RA Office and Store (NS28SE 39.12) and the searchlight battery (NS28SE 39.05). Nothing is now visible of three of these structures; the concrete floor of the fourth (NS 25321 80317) is visible in the garden of the house that was formerly the RA Office.

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (JRS, AK, AM) 26 September 2016.
