Archaeology Notes (9 March 1995)

This building, situated on the farm of Achnagarron, measures 10.45m N to S by 4.7m transversely over walls approximately 0.8m thick. There are windows on both sides and on the S gable. Both gables are complete. A small yard or garden plot is attached to the W side of the building, and both abutt a small field to the N. An outshot on the S end of the building, which extends 1.9m and is 3.7m broad, has two compartments and may have been a sty. This building is depicted as roofed on the 1st and 2nd editions OS.
