Activities

Field Visit (2 March 2016)

The remains of what may have been a sentry post or machine-gun post are situated in woodland at the edge of bluff, some 40m ESE of a letter box (LB) depicted on the current OS MasterMap. The site takes the form of an enclosure measuring 4.6m in diameter over a wall now reduced to a grass-grown bank about 1m in thickness and 0.6m in height. The enclosure stands at the northern boundary of the Cloch Battery and overlooks the beach.

Visited by HES Survey and Recording (GG, AK, AM) 2 March 2016.
