(NO 539 788) Court Hillock (NR)

OS 6" map, Forfarshire and Angus, 2nd ed., (1903)

Court Hillock or Coort Hill: a knoll defaced by the building of Fernybank house. The east side is intact and tree-covered, and the south is enclosed as a garden. Jervise (1853) suggests the baron's court may have assembled there, but there is no suggestion of artificiality.

A Jervise 1853; Name Book 1861.

A natural spur.

Visited by OS (J L D) 29 July 1958.

No further information.

Visited by OS (A A) 12 August 1972.
