"Newhall Tower is now completely gone, so that only some old persons con point to the spot where once it stood."

NSA 1845 (A Merson)

A charter in the register of the Colligiate church of Crail recording an obligation by Thomas Meldrum, "laird of Newhall" is dated "at the Newhall, 16th March, 1578."

The site of the tower was not located. East Newhall and West Newhall form part of the Cambo estate but enquiries proved negative.
