Scottish Borders Smr Note

This site is comprised of a stone-built annular sheepfold which i

overlies the north-eastern side of an earlier annular turf-built i

enclosure. It is situated on the north-western slope of Dun Law i

to the south-west of a stream. The stone walled structure has an i

internal diameter of 20m. The wall itself stands 0.6m high and i

0.4m wide. There is what appears to be an entrance in the i

south-eastern section of the wall. The earlier structure consists i

of a semi-circular turf bank which projects from under the later i

sheepfold by 8m. The turf bank is 3m wide and 0.5m high. A i

sheepfold is marked on the first edition OS map.
