Summary Record (3 March 2014)

A bronze vessica-shaped seal matrix broken in half, presumably deliberately and on the death of its owner as was the custom to prevent mis-use. A cross is visible as part of the device and two letters of the legend, although now abraded, are visible as ‘V’ and ‘S’.

Claimed as Treasure Trove case TT.09/08 and allocated to Cromarty Courthouse Museum.
