The remains of the Law of Balduckie (Statistical Account [OSA] 1791-9) a conical tumulus, now much reduced by cultivation. The field in which it stands is still called 'Law Shed'. (See NO45NE 8.) Probably a tumulus (information from OS Field Investigator (JLD) 18 August 1958).

Name Book 1862; OSA 1791-9.

The "Law of Balduckie" (name not confirmed), most probably the remains of a tumulus, is now a low mound spread by ploughing. It measures 23.5m (E to W) by 20.5m and 1.1m high.

Surveyed at 1/2500.

Visited by OS (TRG) 5 January 1977.

Not found by OS Reviser, Nov 1983.

What may be the remains of a barrow, measuring 22m in diameter by 1.1m in height, are situated 140m E of Baldoukie farmstead.
