The Leper House of Dundee, mentioned in 1498 and 1540, stood at the E end of the town on the sloping river bank. It had become ruinous and uninhabitable by 1552. In 1556 the Town Council ordered it to be repaired, but by 1564 "the leper-men's yaird" was leased for agricultural purposes.
