Note (9 August 2013)
Signal Rock, situated at the top of Tom a' Ghrianain, is thought to have been a meeting point for the MacDonalds of Glencoe. It is possible that the site was used as a means of communicating a warning, by lighting a fire as a signal. According to myth, the site may have been used to signal the start of the massacre of 13th February 1692.
