World War One Audit of Surviving Remains (11 June 2013)

Carmunnock (Cathcart) civilian landing ground is listed by Fife (2007) and on the website of the Airfields of Britain Conservation Trust, the latter site stating its period of use as 1915 to January 1920. Fife states that the landing ground was part of the aircraft manufacturing business of G & J Weir, at Cathcart, the aircraft being transported by road from the factory to Carmunnock for test-flying, until the Renfrew (Moor Park ) Aircraft Acceptance Park was opened.
