OS 6" map (1938)

About 300 yds NNW of Kilconquhar House is a late 17th c dovecot, measuring 14 1/4' x 23 1/2' externally. The walls are of harled rubble with exposed rusticated quoins. The entrance faces S. Above the string course, both flanks have exits for birds.

Field Visit (18 August 1927)

DOVECOT. About 300 yards north-northwest of the house is an oblong dovecot of the late 17th century, which measures externally 14 ¼ by 23 ½ feet. The walls are of harled rubble with exposed rusticated quoins. The entrance faces south; above the string-course, which is stepped, both flanks have exits for the birds.
