This cross, and one other, similar to it, have been moved into the Lamont crypt, on the N side of Kilfinan church, where several other crosses are stored.

There is a fine sculptured stone ascribed to the 11th century in Kilfinan churchyard.

Field Visit (August 1988)
(1) Pillar of sandstone, 1.93m by 0.35m, bearing on the upper part of one face a sunken Latin cross 0.87m high, with open foot and side-arms; the grooves are 40mm wide and up to 20mm deep. Transverse markings near the foot of the slab are probably accidental in origin.
