NO32SW 54.01 34708 21267

A probably late 17th century dovecot is attached to the N range at Mountquhanie Castle (NO32SW 19). It is rectangular, of rubble and has been altered to a workshop.

The building at NO 3477 2123, erroneously described as a dovecot above, was originally a laundry (A H B Wedderburn, Mountquhanie House).

Mountquhanie Dovecot is attached to the North of the Stables a Mountquahanie House (NO32SE 54.00). See also Mountquhanie Castle (NO32SW19).

Site Management (12 November 2007)

Doocot that has been altered to a workshop and incorporated into the stable block. Rectangular rubble-built, gabled with crowsteps, slate and pantile roof. (Historic Scotland)
