Note (10 February 2012)
The map sheet and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record are essentially arbitrary, being derived from the unverified location of loss that is cited by Whittaker. Leuchars Airfield (RAF Leuchars: NO42SE 59.00) is centred at NO 4643 2054, and Leuchars village (NO42SE 61) is centred at NO 4551 2138.
The loss of this aircraft may have occurred within the ill-defined area of St Andrews Bay.
