Watching Brief (9 September 2010 - 10 September 2010)

A watching brief was undertaken 9–10 September 2010 during the excavation of foundation trenches at a development site. The excavations revealed demolition debris overlying a moderately coarse sandy subsoil and an area of dark brown silty garden soil in the former backlands area of the site. No finds or deposits pre-dating the 19th century were recorded.
