Visual inspection of site: photographs: measured.
There is a half-cup-shaped area about 9 metres by 6. On the south-east side is a broken stone dyke and within the cup are many fallen stones some of which are positoned to suggest that there might have been some sort of enclosure here, possibly closed off by wattle hurdles. Many of the trees in the area show signs of coppicing. Immediately to the east (NM9670/5606) there are two parallel walls about 2.1 metres apart and running in an east-west direction for about 3.5 metres. The east wall, which is built into the hillside, is part of the Back Settlement head dyke and 1.5 metres from it are three stones looking as if they are the remains of a cross wall. Most of the walls are only one stone thick except the south one which is about a metre wide and is covered by turf.
