On the face of a boulder, which has been deposited with much other rubbish in a gully beside Dron church (NO23SE 1), there is a runic inscription. It reads 'MCBRIDE LIWED HERE FROM OCTOBER 1970'. The face of the stone bearing the inscription has been shattered by fire.
