A naturally deposited erratic boulder. There are some cup-marks, possibly natural, on the North face.

Aerial photographs show the cropmark of a ring-ditch surrounding the Falcon Stone 270m ESE of Old Rossie Lodge. The ring-ditch measures about 17m in diameter, with a series of cropmarkings, including those of barrows and square barrows, recorded immediately to the N and E (NO23SE 22).

Information from RCAHMS (KB), 14 April 1999.
