The PMSA (Public Monuments and Sculpture Association) Edinburgh Sculpture Project has been supported by Eastern Photocolour, Edinburgh College of Art, the Edinburgh World Heritage Trust, Historic Scotland, the Hope Scott Trust, The Old Edinburgh Club, the Pilgrim Trust, the RCAHMS, and the Scottish Archive Network.

Field Visit (7 November 2001)

To the left of the metal arch on stone pillars, a sculpture of two fish standing on their tails either side of the bow of a boat. The fishes' mouths are wide open as if to swallow the passersby. The reverse of the boat forms a seat. The piece is humorous, resembling a 3D cartoon, and functions as both a sign and a seat, as well as an eye-catching invitation to the quay.
