Field Visit (10 July 2014)
NO 28753 13236 18th century single storey cottage, currently used as an outbuilding. The ridge is made of turf and is netted, whilst the rest of the thatch has been left uncovered. The reed thatch is in fairly good condition with only some minor mossy vegetation growth in places. The thatch abuts timber bargeboards at the gable. The thatch has been very slightly sculpted at the eaves above the door openings on the front and back elevations to allow for easier access into the building. The cottage has a porch extension to the north west gable, which is not thatched. No photographs are available for this entry.
