Glasgow, 19th Jan. During the gale of the 16th Jan., the FAIRY (schr.), of Islay, McMillan, in ballast, drove ashore at Lagavulan [Lagavulin], Islay, and filled: the ISABELLA (smack), of Islay or Greenock, McMillan, drove ashore at Ardbeg, but was got off the following day. A quantity of flour barrels and other wreckage have been driven ashore at Islay.

Evidence Of Loss (16 January 1871)
