In rough grass at the edge of the escarpment beside Allt Creag Dubhaidh, at a height of about 500m OD and overlooking Cro na h-Airighe (NO 17 SW 21) there are traces of at least three huts. The shieling of Cro na choire in Glen Beag is on record in 1561 when it was held in feu-ferme by John McComie of Finegand (Atholl Muniments 23).
A. NO 1313 7338 A round-angled, rectangular hut measuring 6.5m from NNE to SSW by 5m transversely over turf-covered stone wall-footings spread up to 1.1m in thickness.
B. NO 1314 7339 The slightest traces of what may be a hut lie 9m NNW of (A); the most marked feature is a face of revetted masonry, possibly the pinnings for a side-wall.
C. NO 1313 7340 The wasted remains of a hut measuring about 6m by 4.5m overall.
D. NO 1316 7331 This hut lies some 60m S of (A). It measures 7.6m from NNW to SSE by 5.6m transversely over low turf-covered stony banks 1.5m in thickness.
