Situated on the E side of the River Meoble which runs between Loch Beoraid and Loch Morar. Owned by Sir Berkeley Sheffield.

Former shooting lodge requistioned by the War Office in 1940 as a Special Training Centre for Special Operations Executive (SOE) agents sent to Europe. It was also used to train United States OSS agents.

The lodge is visible on vertical air photographs (CPE/UK/Scot 178, frames4192-4193, flown 7 Ocotber 1946).
