Sir Basil Spence

Building Notes

In 1961 pupeteer John Wright bought and renovated a bomb damaged Temperance Hall in Islington London and established the The Little Angel Puppet Theatre. The new theatre provided a dedicated stage for puppeteers with a 100 seat auditorium. It was opened on 24 November 1961 and is still in existence today. The Theatre was sponsored by Poteinos, a non-profit organisation, of which Basil Spence was a member.
