Archaeology Notes

Below the road retaining wall, above the shingle beach, a raised platform of level grass covered ground behind a modern retaining wall/ breakwater. On this ground stands at the Western end a small timber structure visible through undergrowth situated on top of what looks to be the remains (lower courses only) of an earlier stone building. A short distance East of this is another (smaller) timber beach-hut out-house (WC). All set in landscaped setting (garden shrubs and plants). Whole area is 20m front to back and c. 80m long.

CFA/MORA Coastal Assessment Survey 1998.
