NG 4727 4347 Lying by the west side of the current wood and tin sheep fank is an earlier stone fank. This stone fank has been constructed out of the remains of an earlier stone built house and byre lying on a north-east to south-west alignment. The house has rounded corners and measures 9.30 metres long by 4.50 metres wide over walls 0.85 metre thick. The remains of the byre, which is attached to the south-east side of the house, measure 7.40 metres long by 3.20 metres wide. The walls of both structures stand to a maximum height of 1.40 metres.
