Aerial Photographic Transcription (23 November 1990)

An aerial transcription was produced from oblique aerial photographs. Information from Historic Environment Scotland (BM) 31 March 2017.

Aerial Photographic Interpretation (8 December 1992)

NO13NE 53 1862 3899.

Aerial photography has recorded the cropmarks of a ring-ditch with a central pit immediately S of the probable square barrow NO13NE 10. It measures 10m in diameter within its ditch and probably marks the site of a barrow. Traces of a second ring-ditch are visible adjacent to a pit-alignment (NO13NE 70) some 90m to the WNW. Presumably, the square barrow is the only upstanding element of what was formerly an extensive cemetery.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS) 8 December 1992.
