This farmstead comprises a single range and is situated in an improved field 60m S of Rowanlea. This range, which measures 31m from NE to SW by up to 5.8m transversely over walls that measure no more than 0.6m in height, appears to comprise a cottage (containing two compartments) with an outshot attached to its NE end, and two more adjoining the SW end. The range is depicted roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire 1874, sheet XXXIII), but only the outshot adjacent to the SW end of the cottage is shown roofed on the 2nd edition of the map (Elginshire 1905, sheet XXXIII.NW).
