Thornton Station [NAT]

Not to be confused with (predecessor) Thornton Junction Station (NT 2995 9769), for which see NT29NE 4.

This intermediate station on the Fife Circle (Edinburgh outer suburban) route is situated on the line (formerly owned by the North British Rly) just W of the Thornton (junction) triangle. It was opened by British Rail on 11 May 1992, and remains in regular use by passenger traffic.
