NT17NW 181.16 centred 12283 78679

Large corrugated iron clad shed with steel framing, divided into eight separate sheds. The three at the W end are lower, whilst the remaining five are of the same height.

Shed 8 has rivetted steelwork on the structural beams and a-framing for the roof.with sliding entrance doors retains many of the originall features including an overhead gantry crane. The sheds are designed with an extended roof height to allow the repair of yachts.

The shed at the W end of the row, with modern pasterboard sub-divisions retains the steam power pipe system with an expansion loop.

The sheds number 1 to 8 from the W and originally had the following uses; Shed 1, Naval Stores, Shed 2, Shipwrights Workshop, Shed 3, North E A's Wrkshop, Shed 4, Engineers Workshop, Shed 5, Engineers Workshop, Shed 6, Engineers Workshop, Shed 7, Stores and Shed 8, MT Repair Shop.
