Aerial photography (RCAHMS 1977) has recorded the cropmark of a ring-ditch about 150m NE of Ferryfield of Carpow steading (NO11NE 45). Only the NE half of the ring-ditch is visible on the photographs, but, assuming that it is circular, it measures about 18m in diameter within a narrow ditch. A dark mark some 4m in diameter can be seen immediately to the NW of the centre of the interior.
