Archaeology Notes

NO53SW 95 Centred 5070 3193

An area of anti-landing posts is visible on RAF WW II oblique aerial photographs (S 223, 32-35, flown 17 June 1941), between the high and low water marks off Monifeith Links.

The posts cover the sands at low tide in box patterns. It is not known whether there remains any evidence for the posts in this area today.
