A circular plantation enclosure and trackway, which are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ayrshire 1860, sheet xviii), have been recorded as parchmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 2004) lying on the crest of a low ridge to the SE of Skerrington Mains.
