A narrow, level strip of land, sheltered between two long, rocky ridges, was recorded here during a field survey of part of Loch Shiel Estate. It is thought to be an old field or area of agricultural land, and is delineated on the 1st edition OS map of 1875/6 as if to represent improved land. It measures 300m N-S by 50m E-W and is now marshy and reed-filled.

J G Robertson 2001.
