Champany

Created from a pretty, possibly 17th-century single-storey pantiled steading. Whitewashed courtyards, and restaurant within the refurbished octagonal horse mill. Between here and The Binns, several small L-plan bungalows, c.1930 - no doubt Ministry of Agriculture smallholdings for First World War soldiers.

Taken from "West Lothian: An Illustrated Architectural Guide", by Stuart Eydmann, Richard Jaques and Charles McKean, 2008. Published by the Rutland Press http://www.rias.org.uk
