NT18SW 213.20 c.1393 8277

A barrage balloon mooring site has been identified from a RAF WW II vertical air photograph (FNO/106, 6.024, flown 20 August 1942), in an area immediately S of a track leading to Spencerfield farmsteading and N of Preston Hill.

The circle of mooring blocks is visible on the photograph with one hut to the W.
