The Stables (NT16NE 21.07), Blue Cottage (NT16NE 21.06) and Green Cottage (NT16NE 21.04) combine to form a block which would have at one time been estate cottages for staff. The entire block is constructed of rubble with slate roofs.
The Stables forms the eastern end of the block and has a 2-leaf boarded cart door immediately to right of cottage, a boarded pedestrian door and 2 basket-arched cart entrances to outer right. As built it was a 5-bay stable, cartshed and granary, although it is now used as a garage.
